Educable Children Records-Lincoln County 1949-Ward 1
These records include lists of educable (school age) children submitted by Mississippi counties to the state's Secretary of State and Department of Education. This contains those Black students that was of age to attend public education in the year of 1949. They are assumably to have attended Brookaven Colored School which later became to be known as Alexander High School.
