*Fannie L. Mullins*
The Fannie L. Mullins Elementary School located at 717 S. Hamilton Street; Brookhaven Mississippi would become the school to house the grades 1-6. Once students finished their elementary education they were transfered to Alexander High School to complete their high school education.
Once Fannie Mullins became an all important player in the education process of the Brookhaven Colored population; some students were moved from Alexander to Fannie Mullins then back to Alexander. The Mullins School begun to take first - sixth graders circa 1954. If one was in 1st - 6th grades at Alexander in 1954, they were transfered to Fannie Mullins upon its opening.
This page contains memories of students that attended Fannie Mullins in the early and Latter years. It also has students that began their elementary education at the Alexander School. Some of the noted Principals of the Mullins School were Mr. Amos Wright who would later become the Principal at Alexander; and John Dow a Graduate of Alexander High School.
